Watch: 150 KPH Skull Crusher! Ashok Sharma's Snorter Hits Mukul Choudhary

I've seen some terrifyingly speedy spells during my time of covering franchise and domestic cricket. But what I witnessed in the most recent IPL 2026 practice game is a stark reminder of the risks physical with the sport. It is well-known that pace is the most powerful weapon in the fast bowler's arsenal. Ashok Sharma proved precisely why he's being considered the next major thing to watch for Indian cricket. The sheer force in the video when his bouncer of 150 kmph hit Mukul Choudhary, which left fans and players in stunned.

The Lethal Delivery: How It Unfolded

The incident occurred within an intense inter-squad exercise in which Ashok Sharma was racing in high-intensity. I observed that the young player was executing an unstoppable 145 KPH pace prior to deciding to test the playing surface by making a quick delivery. The ball flew through the deck with an estimated rate of 150 km/h which caught Mukul Choudhary totally out of his element.

We know that at this velocity, batters have just 0.4 seconds to respond. Mukul Choudhary tried a quick pull shot, however the additional bounce created through Ashok Sharma caused the ball to slam over the player. The ball may have made directly contact with the grill on the helmet. It was it was a "snorter" in every sense of the term, which resulted in a complete stoppage of the game as the medical personnel were rushed to the center.

Professional Analysis: The Tactical Rise of Ashok Sharma

From a strategic standpoint from a tactical standpoint, this performance demonstrates the reason Ashok Sharma is an essential asset to his team. There is a clear indication that he's not just simply a "military medium" bowler; his speed that is raw and skiddy, which could frighten even experienced openers. I think his capability to keep up these speeds, while also focusing on the rib-cage as well as the area around his helmet will make him an ideal player to fill playing the "enforcer" role in the death overs.

Raw Pace Continuously achieving his 150 KPH mark is enough to place him into the elite group in the world of Indian pacers.

Aggressive Length The willingness of the player to utilize the bouncer for a strategic setting rather than the ball to surprise.

Player Development A lot of experts, like myself have spotted hints of a youthful Umran Malik during his build-up to and debut.

Player Roles and Safety Protocols

It is well known that the safety of players is a major concern for the players. Although"skull crusher" sounds dramatic, the "skull crusher" headline sounds alarming, it demonstrates the need for high-end protection equipment. Mukul Choudhary had a good luck wearing the top helmet available, and it took on the bulk of the force. I was able to observe that the referee for the game and the medical team followed routine concussion procedures quickly this is an excellent indicator of the high-quality standards of the team.

The Impact on the IPL 2026 Season
